There are 2 things that I am learning, whilst pursing this programme, and one of things is to be very weary of procrastination. The other thing is to truly understand the self assessment of the programme. Journaling in the form of the blog is a great tool and one should assess one’s blog by asking oneself 3 key questions:
1. How regularly did I update my blog? This is know as REGULARITY.
2. How well did I use the blog to link to other ideas, contacts and resources outside the ICA Program? This is known as CONNECTION.
3. How well did I use the blog to reflect on new ideas and to put them into practice? This is known as REFLECTION.
One is supposed to give oneself a mark for each of the criteria and then write a paragraph or two describing why you gave yourself the mark that you did. Then to send the completed paragraph to assessment. The blog is to be maintained throughout the entire program but only assessed at the end using the criteria and marking system provided. One should only hand in the self assessment, not the entire blog.
I have laspsed into the procrastination stage whereby I have fallen behind in my blogging. I intend to remedy this by having my blog open during the teleclass and to immediately write my posts as soon as the teleclass is over. I also have to bring my application and reflections up to date on the student website, as having finished the first module, the information is getting more intense to take in. Having found a solution to the blogging, I am going to commit to do my applications and reflections once I have completed the exercise.
