This book is the best that I have come across in a long time. It lays out in simple format the principles on “How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be”. In reading and studying this book, I realized that Jack’s life purpose is exactly what my life purpose is. His life’s purpose is “to inspire and empower people to live their highest vision in a context of love and joy”.

He inspires people to live their highest vision by collecting and disseminating inspiring stories through the Chicken Soup for the Soul series and in his inspirational keynote speeches.

He empowers people to live their dreams by writing practical self-help books; conducting seminars and workshops for adults that teach powerful tools for creating one’s ideal life.

I have been teaching since I was a teenager as a swimming instructor and competitive swimming coach. Then in my 20’s I started teaching Microsoft Office software (when it had first started) to office staff and individuals.

Although I am a good Administrator, I feel that need to do something else. I enjoyed my swimming sessions with the kids and adults. I got a sense of satisfaction upon seeing a student coming to life in the pool after having the initial fear of swimming. I also got that same satisfaction when I saw the light bulb go on in people’s eyes, when they have finally understood the software.

I am not one for re-inventing the wheel – as Jack says: “everything you want to do has already been done by someone else. – someone has already done it and left clues in the form of books, manuals, audio and video programs, university classes, online courses, seminars and workshops.” I am going to use the clues left by Jack and Janet in their book and on the audio cds that I have downloaded to my phone. I listen to the principles while in the car, in bed, where ever I am…. I have reached a point now, where I can actually hear Jack’s voice in my head giving me the relevant principle that should be applied, when faced with an issue, especially if I am trying to empower someone who is discussing a problem with me.

The Strangest Secret as read by Earl Nightingale has been an inspiration to me. Earl Nightingale is a legend in the personal development industry. His recording of “The Strangest Secret” has changed many lives and it can change yours too.

The secret to why some people succeed while others always seem to fail are revealed in Earl Nightingale’s book for Simple Truths, The Strangest Secret: How to Live the Life You Desire. At the heart of success are predetermined goals. People with goals succeed because they know where they’re going. In The Strangest Secret, Earl shares the key factor between those who succeed and those who don’t: We become what we think about. The human mind will return anything we want to plant. In The Strangest Secret: How to Live the Life You Desire, Earl shares a 30-days action plan that can transform your life. So, plant your goal in your mind. It’s the most important decision you’ll ever make—the key to your success!

The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne preaches the same concept:  “ your THOUGHTS become things in your life. Your life right now is a reflection of your past THOUGHTS.”  Think about this statement for a minute. Look back on your life and see if the above statements apply to YOU!

Charles Haanel (1866-1949) quotes: “The predominant thought or the mental attitude is the magnet and the law is that like attracts like, consequently, the mental attitude will invariably attract such conditions as correspond to its nature.”

Earl Nightingale, 30 days action plan is in the comments section. I have tried it and have been successful. I am sharing with you this secret so that anyone reading this blog will be inspired.

Please share your successes with the 30 days action plan so that I can share your story with our readers. Subscribe to the blog so that you will be informed when new post and comments are posted by readers.

I would recommend the audio to all my readers.  It is worth listening too.  I listen to the audio everyday. As I drop my husband to work, I turn off the radio and I put on the audio and I listen to it until I get too work. I feel energized for the day.

Here is the free audio of Earl Nightingale, The Strangest Secret. Have pen and paper ready to take notes before you play this recording  [audio

  1. I have been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be a lot more useful than ever before.

  2. Have you ever wondered why so many people work so hard and honestly without ever achieving anything in particular, and why others don’t seem to work hard, yet seem to get everything?

They seem to have the “magic touch.” You’ve heard people say, “Everything he touches turns to gold.” Have you ever noticed that a person who becomes successful tends to continue to become more successful? And, on the other hand, have you noticed how someone who’s a failure tends to continue to fail?

The difference is goals. People with goals succeed because they know where they’re going. It’s that simple.

“Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.”

A success is the school teacher who is teaching because that’s what he or she wants to do. A success is the entrepreneur who start his own company because that was his dream — that’s what he wanted to do. A success is the salesperson who wants to become the best salesperson in his or her company and sets forth on the pursuit of that goal.

A success is anyone who is realizing a worthy predetermined ideal, because that’s what he or she decided to do … deliberately. But only one out of 20 does that!
